Background
Helm Design and Management was created by Director, Andrew Morris, in 2018 to provide a personal and flexible end-to-end design service to clients.
'I studied Architecture in the United Kingdom in the 1990’s and became a registered British Architect in the year 2000. During my time in the United Kingdom, I was employed at a medium sized architectural practice engaged in the design and documentation of large format retail outlets, health institutions and residential buildings. In 2003 I migrated to Perth, Australia and began employment with a successful commercial Architectural Practice where I remained until the creation of Helm Design and Management. During my employment, I was responsible for Apartment Buildings, Offices, Retail, Showrooms, warehouses and single residential projects. I specialised in designing the projects and managing the project team from inception through to construction completion. In 2007 I was offered Directorship which led to my development in the skills of resource management, company operations and marketing. I also had the benefit of an ongoing mentoring program with a highly successful property developer and investor in the skills of property financial modelling and management which has led to my own property investment portfolio. I accumulated over 11 years in a Directorship position before leaving to create Helm Design and Management.'
Andrew has accumulated extensive experience over more than twenty years and can provide guidance to clients through the entire development process. His clients are able to benefit from his ability to prepare development financial feasibility's and pair them with his design skills to maximise site potential and identify development opportunities. In particular, Andrew is adept at concept design and the ability to navigate the planning approval process having liaised with many different councils, design review panels and the metropolitan development authority.
Andrew was raised in an environment built on honesty, commitment and effort. Therefore it is no surprise that he is committed to providing a quality service with the premise of adding value to all projects.
