We all now know that both the Federal and State government have put in place a stimulus package for home buyers and renovators. The question is, what is the detail and am I eligible. Rather than relying on the writings of various outlets I have attached below links to both the federal and state website pages that provide the detail you need to know. To me, the key aspect of the detail is that you need to sign a building contract by the end of December this year. In my experience, the greatest risk in time has been the speed at which a planning application is processed by the local authority, as this is out of your control. However, you may have more time then you think because you don’t need a builder for the design or applying for a planning application so you could start this process today by going direct to a house designer or Architect.
